Textiles, The most popular idea to add yellow to a bedroom is textiles as this color is rather bright and most of people don’t want too much of it. Yellow pillows, blankets, rugs and curtains will fit many spaces and many bedroom styles and yellow is very combinable. You may add a furniture piece or some accessory to echo with your textiles.
Most of attics are rather small and offer little natural light, which means that you should avoid painting them dark colors: light colors can make a room appear larger and brighter, this is exactly what you need to achieve a welcoming look. Prefer one solid color for the whole room to keep it as open as possible as when the eye does not detect divisions, it perceives a larger space. This effect is heightened if you select flooring that closely matches the color of the walls and ceiling, as well. Make the attic ceiling a lighter color than the rest of the room – the darker the ceiling is, the more oppressive the room looks. The ceiling beams if any can be painted brown, black or just stained to accent them – since the beams slant upward, the eye looks upward, as well, causing the eye to perceive a taller space.
If you have enough space, never mind, just place two or three beds in your guest bedroom. The beds may be double or single, and their look – just like the rest of the home decor – depends on your wish only. Guest bedrooms usually continue home decor, so if you have contemporary style, keep on going with it in the guest bedroom, too, and so on, and you may add some accessories or other decorations and artworks to make it more special. Style your guest bedroom with various textiles, place some ottomans and cool curtains to make the space cozier.
Color block your headboard wall to make a bright statement in your bedroom – your space won’t be boring with that! It may be a solid color, which is contrasting to other shades on the walls, it may be a bright geometric combo or even something catchy like a large circle of a different color on the wall – there are many ways to color block. Such an idea is sure to highlight your sleeping zone as much as possible, especially if you go for a color block wall in a solid color. You may also go for a color blocked ceiling choosing a bold shade and going down to the walls a bit or choosing one wall and going down it. Color blocking can be done with paints and stencils, which is a simple and budget-friendly idea, or with wall murals if you don’t feel like painting.
Red is a special color: it’s very energetic, it draws people together and stimulates conversation.
